Ciao da Finlandia

The sun and spring is here. We have no snow left, instead we have mud and puddles and lots of water in the ditches. Jói taught me to wade in the ditches. They make excellent water cups too. We have some flowers in our garden but mummy won’t let us out. She says it’s too wet. I was quick one day and got to taste one flower. I love gardening. Last summer I picked all the sunflowers from our garden and brought them in. Mummy says they will put a fence around the flower-beds.
Because of the spring I have to bath every day. Boy do I hate to take baths. Mummy is rather clever after all. She bribes me with treats to get me in the bathroom.
She only washes our paws. She has threatened to wash me entirely as soon as she gets rid of her huge belly. Now she has got this crazy idea to take me to some show sometimes in the summer. We practice every week for the show.
She puts a horrible leash on me and then she makes me stand in some silly position. Of course I stand because I get lots of treats when I do like mummy says.
It seems like I’m no little puppy anymore. I get to sleep where ever I want to and the food servings have grown too. And I have found some new interests girls, new smells and sticks. Inside the house food is not so important anymore, instead it’s fun to carry around mummy’s clothes and my toys. The best things in life are to tease Jói and to rip the leash when we go out mummy and daddy dislikes both these hobbies.
Every now and then I also try to guard the house, the forest paths and our car, especially if I’m inside the car. Mummy is not too happy about my guarding. She tells me to be quiet. I think I should have some kind of profession but mummy and daddy are so picky. They did not appreciate my profession as a horticulturist, neither as a digger and this guarding job does not either seem too popular. What else could I try on?
